Ethnopolicy work group

1) Members of research group are:

• Aksel Kirch, Ph.D, Head of Ethnopolicy Working Group
• Rein Ruutsoo, Ph.D, Senior Research Fellow
• Marika Kirch, Ph.D, Senior Research Fellow
• Tarmo Tuisk, Research Assistant

2) Group is working since 1992, but researches have been done since 1986. Rein Ruutsoo joined EPWG in 1995.

3) Research interests

• Aksel Kirch - interethnic relations, loyalty, relations with citizenship, integration of non-Estonian population into Estonian society;
• Rein Ruutsoo - civil society in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, historical identity of Baltic nations;
• Marika Kirch - changes of ethnosocial and cultural identity, Identity Structure Analysis (ISA) methodology
• Tarmo Tuisk - application of ISA in Estonia, statistical analysis of survey data
